So, Marguerite decides to become a detective. Her first assignment comes from a five hundred year old vampire named Christian Notte. Christian never knew his mother, but believes that she is still alive. Marguerite and Tiny fly to England to help him track her down.
Missing and Kidnapped in England
Just when Marguerite thinks she’s gotten a lead, bad things start to happen. Someone attacks her in her hotel room, her purse is stolen, and it becomes clear that someone is out to kill her and Tiny. Whatever the reason for the disappearance of Christian’s mother is, it must have been foul play.
Falling in Love with a Mysterious Vampire
The plot thickens when Marguerite meets Julius Notte, Christian’s father. She gets the impression that Julius knows exactly what happened to his wife, but for some reason, he isn’t talking. As suspicious as this makes her, there’s something about Julius that she can’t get out of her mind. Soon she finds herself eating and fantasizing about him. Add that to the fact that she can’t read his mind and Marguerite knows she’s found her life mate.
Even though Julius refuses to help the investigation, he keeps tagging along, because he realizes that Marguerite is his life mate as well. He’ll do anything to keep her safe. Then Marguerite is kidnapped by the same person responsible for the disappearance of his wife and he’ll be shocked when he finds out who it is.
