An Argeneau that readers never imagined existed and the life mate he can't possibly claim. Another compelling masterpiece that demands to be read cover to cover.

Readers of the Argeneau series have fallen in love with the stories of the Argeneau vampires and their search for soul mates. But the Argeneau family has a secret and his name is Nicholas. Nicholas Argeneau was an enforcer, a vampire who hunts other vampires that have broken their laws, like his uncle Lucian Argeneau. These “rogue vampires” feed off of and kill humans. The enforcers are the justice system of the vampire world. They capture rogues, give them a fair trial and if they are found guilty either imprison or execute them.

A Heart Broken Vampire

A freak accident claimed Nicholas’ life mate and their unborn child and left Nicholas devastated. But then he did the unthinkable: he became a rogue himself. Now Nicholas has spent the last 50 years on the run. He regrets what he did, but if he is captured he will pay for his crime, possibly with his life. His family hasn’t yet gone out of their way to hunt him down, but if they ever find him he will have to stand trial. An eyewitness to his crime ensures that he will be found guilty.

Finding a Vampire Boyfriend

Josephine “Jo” Willan finds herself and her sister Alex dragged to a party by their sister Samantha. There she meets a dozen of the most handsome men she has ever seen. But she’s been at the part for hours and each man has introduced himself, stared at her forehead, and ignored her ever since.

Little does Jo know, her sister Samantha’s fiancé Mortimer is a vampire and Samantha is his life mate. Once he turns her into a vampire she will stop aging and will only have about ten years before humans get suspicious. Before that happens Samantha will have to leave her sisters and never see them again. Instead of accepting her fate, Samantha set up the party to introduce her sisters to as many eligible vampires as she could in the hopes of finding a life mate for them. Vampires can read the minds of all humans, with one exception: their true life mate. And so far, everyone has been able to read Jo’s.

Sick of the party, Jo goes outside to get some fresh air and is attacked! The most handsome man she has ever seen, and considering she’s been surrounded by them all night is saying something, comes to her rescue. Before Jo knows it, she’s kissing him. Really kissing him.

Falling in Love With a Vampire

Even though he’s on the run, Nicholas can’t quite break the habit of hunting rogues. He tracks one down and stops him right before he kills a human woman. To thank him for saving her life, the woman kisses him and Nicholas finds himself kissing her back. For the first time since his life mate died, he feels happy.

When he pulls back and tries to erase her memory, he finds that he can’t. Nicholas knows that it means Jo is his life mate. But fate is cruel. Nicholas has gotten lucky enough to find a second life mate, when many vampires never even find one, but he can’t claim her. Taking Jo would mean forcing her to live a life on the run and he can’t do that to a woman he already loves too much to lose.

Even though going into hiding with Jo is the last thing Nicholas wants to do it is soon exactly what he ends up doing. And the more Jo gets to know him the more she begins to believe that Nicholas was framed.

Now Jo has two problems. She has to outwit and outrun the rogue vampire who is still hunting her down. And more importantly she must find a way to prove Nicholas’ innocence before she loses the only man she’s ever loved.
