Not all Vampires Have Fangs in the Argeneau Books - matt loves kicks
The latest short story about the Argeneau Vampire Family will thrill everyone from old fans to new readers. It's short, sweet, and will have readers begging for more.

Released just in time for Valentine's Day 2010 readers will grab the anthology Bitten by Cupid and turn right to the first of three short stories: Vampire Valentine by Lynsay Sands. In a universe where every vampire has a soul mate somewhere in the world fans of the Argeneau Series find themselves hoping that every character they meet will have their own book where they live happily ever after. At last the sweet Mirabeau, introduced in the very first book, and the human Tiny will find love. Even readers who have never picked up a book about the Argeneaus will fall in love with this book.

A Human Detective Who Helps Vampires

Tiny McGraw is nothing like his name! He's a six-foot-seven, two hundred and eighty pound muscular dream. He works for a detective agency that has a long history of working with vampires. His last partner was a feisty, but petite girl and even though Tiny has his share of brains, he's used to being the brawn.

Working with the Argeneau family has completely changed his function in the agency. He has experience solving cases, but that's it! His former partner Jackie found her life-mate, turned into a vampire and can now pick him up and tote him around single-handedly! All around him he sees the vampires he works with finding the one person they're meant to spend forever with and Tiny can't help but feel a bit jealous.

A Single Orphan Vampire Girl

Mirabeau La Roche lost her entire family at a young age. Now, she's over four-hundred-years old, single, and not interested in settling down. She works as an enforcer; a vampire who tracks down and stops renegade vampires who still drink human blood. She's not sure what her current assignment entails and considering the fact that she had to sneak out of a wedding and ruin her dress in a sewer, she doesn't care.

Then the most handsome human she's ever seen joins her, with a newly turned vampire in tow. The human is Tiny McGraw and right from the start Mirabeau can't take her eyes off of him. The scars of losing her family still linger and the last thing Mirabeau wants to do is open her heart and risk losing another person she loves. But it isn't long before she starts to think of Tiny as much, much more than a co-worker.

Protecting a Girl From Evil Vampires

The girl with Tiny is Stephanie McGill. She and her older sister Dani were kidnapped by vampires and turned against their will. Dani had the good fortune of finding her life-mate among the Argeneau family, but Stephanie is just a teenager. The vampire that turned them is still hunting them and it's up to Tiny and Mirabeau to escort Stephanie to a safe location where she can be protected until the vampire is found and staked.

But Stephanie's entire world just changed. She's lonely and scared and so she's dealing with it the only way a teenager knows how: by being as bratty as possible. She's driving Tiny and Mirabeau crazy and they're having a hard time protecting her when they want to throttle her themselves!

A Vampire and a Human Fall in Love

As they try to bring Stephanie to safety Mirabeau and Tiny find themselves getting closer and closer. Now Tiny has to help Mirabeau face her fears so that she can fall in love with him before Stephanie is safe! Tiny knows that the moment Stephanie is delivered Mirabeau will run off and out of his life.

Can Tiny convince her to allow herself to love again in just a couple of days, all while suffering through Stephanie's whining and fending off evil vampires? Maybe the fact it's Valentine's Day will bring him a bit of luck!

Short Vampire Love Stories

Vampire Valentine, published in the Bitten by Cupid Anthology January 12, 2010 by Avon, clocks in at just a third of the length of the previous twelve stories in the Argeneau Series. Despite it's length, it packs just as much of a punch as the longer novels. Lynsay Sand's Vampire Valentine, ISBN 13: 9780061894459, has just as much well-written action, tasteful steamy romance, and compelling characters as it's predecessors

Readers who have never heard of the Argeneau Family will love this book and race right out to read the others while long-time Argeneau fans will be thrilled to finally see Tiny and Mirabeau find love.
